Job Overview:
The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for the detailed examination and approval of invoices within the Financial Operations department. This role demands high precision in reviewing financial documents to ensure they meet our company standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Support continuous/process improvement initiatives by suggesting enhancements to current quality control procedures.
- Conduct thorough quality control checks on invoices generated by the FinOps team to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Organize and maintain documentation related to invoice quality control processes.
- Collaborate closely with the FinOps team to rectify any discrepancies or errors found during the quality control process.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to facilitate clear and precise information exchange regarding invoicing issues.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all financial records and information.
- Ensure compliance with policies, and applicable guidelines.
- Assist in training and supporting team members on best practices for invoice processing.
- Document findings and report on quality control activities to Department Managers.
Requirements:
- 2+ years similar or proven experience in quality control/audit role within a finance/Accounting department is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and an organized approach to handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong documentation skills and proficiency in maintaining meticulous records.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively presenting and discussing findings with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Ability to identify issues, analyze information, and provide solutions to problems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with financial software and systems.
